Anonymous asked: I LOVE your art! What program do you use to color your digital art? It looks lovely! o3o

Thank You! I use Paint Tool SAI. Photoshop CS3 for editing and other miscellaneous stuff i can’t do with SAI such as straight lines, perfect circles, etc.

Thank you <3.

I don’t go to an art school, unfortunately. i’m not even studying art right now, haha. i go to a regular university but i plan to change my major to animation/illustration since our school has a really good program for it.

Anonymous asked: Your MLP drawings are so wonderful! How did you color the hair?? It's soo gorgeous *0*

Thank you! i’m so glad you like it ;u;. coloring hair depends on the color, but i usually start by shading with a dark color and gradually switching to lighter colors. i do the highlights last, usually with an eraser. hope that answers your question :)

Anonymous asked: Have to stop by and say your art is absolutely beautiful! It's nice to see traditional work especially color penicl! Yay!~~ How do you blend your colors so well like coloring hair? Any tips for choosing skin colors you can spare?

Thank You! i really appreciate you stopping by just to tell me this ;u;. blending colors with color pencils is not like painting and it takes some practice. i’m so bad at explaining this in words but if you want to blend two colors then try to color gradients fading into each other. IDK if that makes sense haha. i also use a prismacolor colorless blender to make my colors appear flatter instead of textured. also, the eraser is also a handy blending tool :).

as for skin colors, i usually start off by shading first so a dark color comes first. it really depends on the skin tone you want. for red undertones i start with magenta or mahogany, coloring very lightly. and from there i use peachy colors. it’s good to experiment with different colors even though it’s color pencils. don’t feel like you should just use peach to color skin. or whatever color it is for tan/dark skin. i still have not figured out dark skin colors yet haha.

maybe i’ll post a walkthrough so you can have a better understanding XD

Anonymous asked: What kind of colored pencils do you use? Or if you use multiple types, which brand did you use for the MLP pictures? I'm loving how those colors look

Hi! answered this question previously here http://kerriwon.tumblr.com/post/23155664997/what-kind-of-colored-pencils-do-you-use-d

chiwowa asked: What kind of colored pencils do you use? :D

i use a variety of colored pencils, actually. most of the time i use Steadtler ErgoSoft. for peachy skin color i used Prismacolors. i buy them individually(cuz prismacolors are expensive >.<) choosing the colors i need but don’t have. i also use cheap brands like Crayola and Roseart. i can assure you that all of my colored pencils pieces were done with multiple brands of colored pencils XD.
